Stephen Colbert Wins Approval for SuperPAC

Stephen Colbert will not be our next President. But he may have a say who gets the job.

The comedian/talk show host won approval today from the Federal Election Committee to form a SuperPAC, meaning Colbert can raise money and produce/buy television time for political advertisements.

"Moments ago the Federal Election Committee made their ruling," Colbert said ta crown below outside the FEC headquarters. "And ladies and gentlemen I'm sorry to say, we won!"

How did this come about? Former FEC Chairman Robert Lenhard said the ruling "means people can use their network's resources to fund their own PAC ads without needing to report it on their network, on their show."

As for the host of The Colbert Report? Added Lenhard:

"I think he's going to have fun. But until he gets at least a million dollars he's not going to run many ads outside of his show."

Colbert is already working on that, however. He solicited donations from fans during his speech, telling supporters: "I don't know about you but I do not accept limits on my free speech, I don't know about you but I do not accept the status quo. But I do accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express."

JAVIER COLON AND STEVIE NICKS SING ‘LANDSLIDE’ TOGETHER ON ‘THE VOICE

Javier Colon was a contestant on ‘The Voice‘ who managed to do the unthinkable: He got all four coaches to turn their big red space chairs around during the blind audition phase. His coach Adam Levine said that Colon has one of the best voices he has ever heard. We’re not going to argue with that superlative assessment.

Colon, who is a father, has never let the “chew you up and spit you out” music business stop him, and on tonight’s finale, he performed the tender ballad ‘Landslide’ with the inimitable legend Stevie Nicks, taking subtle direction from her as she lead the song. He met her in the middle, and it was earth-shattering.

The performance was a stunning collision of modern and classic, novice and legend and by the second verse, Colon and Nicks brought out the best in each other. The song exists as a vehicle for powerful voices, and when these two sang the signature line, “When I see my reflection / In the snow covered hill” in tandem, the roof was effectively ripped off. The hair on our arms stood on end.

Colon and Nicks closed their performance by sharing a hug. They were met with a standing ovation from all four coaches.

Levine said he had to fight off tears after the duet. “I’m pretty speechless. You just sang with Stevie Nicks and it is one of the most beautiful duets I’ve ever heard. Now you’re one of my heroes. You deserve to win this competition,” he declared.

Halle Berry Alleges Neglect on Behalf of Gabriel Aubry

After a few weeks of rancor, it appeared in April as if Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry had reached a truce in their battle over their three-year old daughter, Nahla. A custody agreement was signed.

But the actress was back in court today, claiming that Aubry violated said agreement and accusing the father of neglect.

Details are scant at the moment, but TMZ first broke the story of Berry submitting a lengthy complaint to a judge. It outlines all the ways in which Aubry - a Canadian model who split with the actress in May 2010 - supposedly violated the former couple's terms.

One incident overseas, where Aubry allegedly imperiled Nahla's safety, is specifically cited.

The judge has scheduled a hearing to hear more on the matter and we'll keep readers apprised as news breaks.

Love-Love: William and Kate Visit Wimbledon

Days before embarking on their first North American tour, Prince William and Kate Middleton relaxed a little on Monday with a visit to Wimbledon.

The couple were greeted with an enthusiastic ovation as they took their seats in the front row of - where else - the Royal Box at Centre Court.

William and Kate, who fittingly wore a white Temperley London dress to the most traditional of tennis contests, blushed a little at the adulation:

A spokesman at St. James's Palace said the couple, who honored UK troops at an event over the weekend, were at the sporting event "privately."

Kate Middleton loves tennis and plays regularly, having visited Wimbledon a number of times. William has been going to the event since he was a child.

They were in their seats around 1 p.m. in time to support the UK's own Andy Murray in his match against France's Richard Gasquet in the Round of 16.

Murray won. So did fans who got a glimpse of these adorable lovebirds.

Dr. Conrad Murray: No Plea Deal in Michael Jackson Case

Dr. Conrad Murray is reportedly adamant that he will not accept a plea bargain of any sort in the Michael Jackson involuntary manslaughter case.

Sources say Dr. Murray feels so strongly about his innocence that even a plea offering zero jail time would be out of the question on principle.

Not that the L.A. County District Attorney is bending over backwards to offer such a thing. Prosecutors believe they can and will win the case.

Dr. Murray's defense revolves around the fact that only two people were in the room around the time Michael died, those being Murray and Jackson.
The doctor insists he did not administer the fatal dose of Propofol.
His lawyers' theory: Murray left to go to the bathroom, a frustrated MJ woke up, administered Propofol on his own, overdosed and killed himself.
As for why he was providing Propofol to start with, Murray hopes MJ's last rehearsal footage will show "warning signs" that he was a lost cause.

Lindsay Lohan Off the Hook Despite Failed Test; Actress Not in Violation of Probation Terms

Lindsay Lohan will not go to jail despite failing an alcohol test this month, and the reason why is simple: She's not actually barred from doing so.

Judge Stephanie Sautner ruled that the prior judge in the case, Elden Fox, had only required controlled substance testing from January 3-February 25.

Short story: LiLo's no longer required to submit to testing, period, and even when she was, her probation only disallowed controlled substances.

Alcohol is a legal substance, so even if she did test positive this month, it doesn't matter, according to her legal wizard, Shawn Chapman Holley.
Probation officers cannot test Lindsay for drugs or alcohol anymore, as there is no court order allowing random testing ... even though it just happened.
Apparently, they had been doing so erroneously.
As long as she doesn't leave the house, drive or do drugs, Miss "I'm clean for life" can booze all she wants now. So ... crack open some more wine?
Judge Sautner said Lindsay is now restricted for the remainder of her house arrest to one friend at a time at her Venice loft, in addition to family.
There will be no more house parties allowed at her pad, however, and Sautner did admonish Lindsay for showing "extremely poor judgment."
To say the least. Aside from making a mockery of the justice system with this house arrest nonsense, it doesn't say much about her willpower.
Sautner asked Lindsay if she wanted to get on with her life. She replied, "Yes I do." The actress remains under house arrest through June 29.

Not even to star in a film, but for a single scene. Steve says Kate's sister's "beauty and attitude" could help her become a huge adult star. The fact that there is an arse appreciation society in her honor and some racy pics online won't hurt.

Hirsch is also offering $1 million to another Middleton - Kate and Pippa's brother James - to appear on-screen. Okay, now this is just getting weird.
In February 2009, Vivid offered Nadya Suleman $1 million to appear in a flick. She said no, but then Vivid reportedly bought the deed to her home.

Osama Bin Laden: Dead!

Osama bin Laden is dead. This is not a hoax. The world's most notorious terrorist has been killed by U.S. military forces, according to breaking news reports.
The mastermind of the September 11, 2001 attacks and the leader of Al Qaeda was reportedly shot in the head in Afghanistan and his body is in U.S. hands.
Bin Laden is believed to have been taken down by U.S. assets in a mansion outside Islamabad, Pakistan, along with other members of his family, officials say.

Already a notorious fugitive before the 9/11 attacks that killed over 3,000 people, capturing Osama had been a key national security priority for a decade.

Few additional details have been confirmed about bin Laden's death at this time, but President Barack Obama will address the nation shortly to provide them.

The administration is still gathering intelligence and will be briefing congressional officials in advance of the President’s address to America tonight.

Obama will deliver the news to the nation in an address from the White House, almost 10 years after the catastrophic attacks bin Laden orchestrated.

Emma Watson to Transfer From Brown

A spokeswoman for Harry Potter star Emma Watson says she will be transferring from Brown University to another higher education institution.
Emma announced last month she was taking a hiatus at Brown, but has denied reports that she "bullied out" of the Rhode Island university.
Her rep said Saturday that Watson, who plays Hermione in the Harry Potter series, decided to pursue a different course not offered at Brown.

She added that despite the decision to transfer, the star "has absolutely loved her time at Brown" and made a lot of good friends there.

Watson has recently taken time out of her studies to focus on her movie career. She has said that her first days in college were difficult.

The rep did not identify the university Watson, who stars in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2 this July, will be transferring to.

The 13-year-old YouTube sensation whose "Friday" got her a legit manager and face time on many talk shows, apparently has enemies as well as fans.

"In essence, the threats were related to getting the music off the Internet or they were going to kill her," police spokesman Sgt. Rick Martinez said.

"We can't validate how serious they are, but we do take it seriously."

One Rebecca Black death threat was phoned in and another emailed, Martinez said, adding, "In the meantime, we are keeping an eye out for her."

"We are working together with the Anaheim Police Department to ensure Rebecca's safety at all times," added the teen's rep. Yes, she has a rep.

Catherine Zeta-Jones Seeks Treatment For Bipolar Disorder

One of Catherine's reps tells People "After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility."
The rep confirms it was "for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar Disorder."

"She's feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films," the rep says, adding that she spent five days there.

Reports say Catherine had been in Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut for treatment, but Zeta Jones, 41, has apparently checked out as of this report.

Her husband Michael Douglas, 66, announced in January he was declared free of cancer after extensive chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

Paul Ryan Budget Proposal Marks Political Gamble For Republicans

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republicans on Tuesday unveiled a politically risky 2012 proposal that aims to bring down huge budget deficits by cutting healthcare benefits for the poor and elderly.
The 2012 budget blueprint from Paul Ryan, chairman of the House of Representatives's budget committee, builds on the Republican Party's campaign promise to scale back the size of the federal government.
His plan for the fiscal year that begins October 1 would achieve nearly $6 trillion in savings over the next decade, chipping away at a budget deficit that this year is expected to hit $1.4 trillion.
"This is a budget that creates economic growth. It is a budget to pay off our national debt. It is a budget to get our fiscal track on the right track," Ryan said.
But the plan drew harsh criticism.
"While we agree with his ultimate goal, we strongly disagree with his approach," White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said. The House Republican plan, Carney added, "cuts taxes for millionaires and special interests while placing a greater burden" on the elderly, children with disabilities, students and workers who have lost their health coverage.

he non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, in its analysis of the Ryan budget, cautioned that some of the Medicare proposals would shift healthcare costs to elderly recipients. Similarly, Medicaid changes would shift some costs to the states, which already are cash-strapped.
Republicans hope deficit-cutting scores big with voters concerned about gaping federal budget deficits, but public opinion polls find opposition among Americans to many of the domestic spending cuts Republicans are offering. That could come back to haunt the party in the 2012 elections.
Ryan's plan could move quickly through the Republican-led House, where fiscally conservative Tea Party members are clamoring for even deeper spending cuts. It is unlikely to clear the Senate, where Democrats still have a majority.
Ryan put forward his 2012 blueprint while his colleagues continued to wrangle about a budget for the current fiscal year ending September 30. That bitter debate, if unresolved by Friday night, could lead to a partial government shutdown.
Negotiations this week on the 2011 budget have stalled over some $33 billion in proposed cuts.
Ryan's proposal for 2012 includes much steeper cuts and sets the stage for an even more contentious debate.
Republican leaders hope Ryan's 2012 proposal can reduce pressure from members of the conservative Tea Party movement who are forcing the party to adopt a hardline stance in current negotiations over the 2011 budget.

MEDICARE, MEDICAID PROPOSALS
Under the Republican proposal, which could be approved by the House Budget Committee soon, Medicare would be replaced with a voucher system giving recipients a fixed amount of money to buy private insurance plans. People now 55 and older would stay in the current plan.
Medicaid healthcare for the poor would be turned over to the states under a block grant system.
On the tax side, top rates for individuals and businesses would be cut to 25 percent from 35 percent under the Ryan proposal.
The Wisconsin Republican said his plan would balance the U.S. budget by 2015, but that does not include the effect of interest payments on debt. His plan also makes economic assumptions that some critics call rosy.
The proposal fails to address another major problem -- keeping the Social Security retirement system solvent. Instead, it urges Congress to work on a bipartisan solution to reforming this popular program.
The sniping between Republicans and Democrats over tax and spending priorities will extend well into next year and the 2012 presidential and congressional elections.
Democrats hope the Ryan budget proposal and Tea Party demands for deeper, faster spending cuts on popular domestic programs like Medicare will prompt a voter backlash against Republicans.
Some corporate groups praised the Ryan budget plan.
The proposal "focuses the policy discussion on the importance of entitlement reform in putting America's budget in order for the long term," said the Business Roundtable.

With dangerous protests taking place in Libya, Angelina Jolie released a statement today that takes up the cause of refugees fleeing the troubled country, along with those in Africa's Cote d'Ivoire.

Said this UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador:

As we witness these newest crises unfold in west and north Africa, it is critical that all parties respect the fundamental right of people in danger to flee to safety. All I'm asking is that civilians be protected, and not targeted or harmed."
Jolie has been in been in Kabul, Afghanistan this week, spending with with residents that are attempting to return home after a decade of exile.

"We need to remember that if we don't support these people in the long term to really get back on their feet, we will see a continued cycle of instability and new crises," she said.

Earlier this year, Jolie and Pitt donated $2 million to a Namibian wildlife refuge. As we often ask: how awesome is Angelina Jolie?!?

Katie Holmes Sues Tabloid For $50 Million

Katie Holmes is seeking damages of $50 million from American Media, the owner of celebrity gossip tabloid Star, based on a recent cover story.

The lawsuit, over a cover extreme even by Star standards, takes issue with reports that Katie is on drugs, and was filed in federal court in L.A.

Star's "vicious lies about plaintiff, designed to hype sales of a sleazy tabloid magazine, were calculated to cause severe harm," reads the suit.

"The average reader (would invariably) believe that plaintiff has become shockingly addicted to drugs. There is no other way to understand them."

The suit continues: "The cover even created the false impression that, but for plaintiff's nightmare drug addiction, she would 'leave' her husband."

In a statement, AMI said it stood behind the story in Star, which also raised eyebrows for reporting Jason Trawick beat up Britney Spears last year.

Inside, the magazine backs off the claim of addiction, citing incidents in which Holmes joins Scientology sessions where an "e-meter" is used.

Used in the controversial group’s auditing sessions, e-meters allegedly measure electrical resistance and reflecs past emotional experiences.

The article states that the electrical device might release endorphins, or "hormones that cause a pain-killing, mood-elevating effect."

A Scientology member (not Tom Cruise) is quoted as saying about using the e-meter, "Like a heroin addict, you want another dose."

Yup, better get ready to pay up guys.

The singer-actress and NHL hockey player were married Saturday during an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif., according to reports. Congratulations!

Hilary, in a mermaid gown by Vera Wang, swapped vows with Mike in front of a sunset and 100 of their closest family and friends. She was escorted down the aisle by her mother Susan Duff, while sister Haylie Duff was maid of honor.

The couple, who began dating in 2007, first met on a trip when they both were visiting a resort in Idaho. "We were all on the same plane and it was kind of, I guess, maybe a bit of a fluke. She calls it ironic. No I'm kidding!" Comrie said.

Heidi Montag Files For Divorce; Spencer Pratt Calls Marriage a "Show" For The Hills

Ever since the first reports of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt splitting up, Hills fans understandably assumed wondered if it was another big PR hoax.

Looks like it isn't.

Almost two months after the plastic princess went to court seeking legal separation from the puppet master, the reality star has filed for divorce.

Heidi Montag cites the usual "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the pair's split in a divorce petition filed in Santa Monica, Calif., Court.

"Heidi has amended her petition for separation and has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt," attorney Jodeane Farrell said. The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner."
Adding that terms will be hashed out in an out of court settlement, Farrell said "both parties are amicable with each other and finalizing the divorce."

The couple staged a sham wedding in Cabo in 2008, then tied the knot for real in April 2009 at a church in Pasadena, Calif., appearing happy.

Things went downhill fast, however.

Heidi Montag underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, fired Spencer as her manager, released terrible music, accused The Hills creator Adam DiVello of sexual harassment and became estranged from her family and so on.

For his part, Spencer Pratt has grown increasingly eccentric, and even admitted to being a fame whore and choosing his "career" over his wife.
He echoed that sentiment yesterday to People.

"I love Heidi but our marriage was a show – it was part of The Hills world," Pratt said after the divorce filing. "That world is on a sound stage."

Referring to himself in the third-person, he adds: "It's clear that reality TV-fame-loving Spencer Pratt does not fit with my ex-wife Heidi Montag's ambitions for a motion picture actor/pop star career and being a single sex symbol for the world."

Witnesses Saw Mel Gibson Hit Oksana Grigorieva

Did Mel Gibson attack Oksana Grigorieva physically?

The actor and his attorneys have not said a word about the infamous tapes, which makes sense. It's pretty clearly him on the phone, and there's no explaining away remarks such as "You should just say you're sorry and BLOW ME!!!!!!"

But he's adamantly denied any violence, and his fans have accused Oksana of being a gold-digging liar. Might there be witnesses who saw it, however?

According to TMZ, sources connected to Oksana Grigorieva say "third party witnesses" will tell L.A. County Sheriff's investigators they saw Mel Gibson punch her in the face January 6 during a heated altercation at her home.

This is the same alleged fight that they appear to reference in some of the tapes, and that she Oksana emailed her attorney about just hours after.

The Mel Gibson tapes are all from February 18.
Witnesses have not yet spoken to Sheriff's investigators probing the domestic abuse allegations against Mel, but they will supposedly come forward soon.

Sources say at least one witness is someone who works with Oksana on her music, which Mel claims is pretty average in one of his voicemail rants.

At least one of the third party witnesses reportedly saw the star pull a gun on Oksana during the same altercation, after he allegedly punched her.

We're told Oksana's 12-year old son Alexander, who Mel is also accused of assaulting, has already spoken with Sheriff's investigators in the case.

Sources say during the mediation in May, Oksana said Alexander, whose father is Timothy Dalton, was hiding under the bed during the argument.

Concurrently, Grigorieva is being investigated for extortion of Gibson, and both are battling for custody of their eight-month-old daughter Lucia.

February 18: Day of the Mel Gibson Tapes

The Mel Gibson tapes are now infamous, but many questions remain, including when they were recorded, and what event(s) sent the actor SO over the edge.

Well, sources tell TMZ that Oksana Grigorieva began secretly taping her ex-boyfriend shortly after he accused her of "messing around with the tree man."

It all went down February 18 - all six Mel Gibson rants leaked so far.

On that date, Oksana went to Mel's house and he allegedly flew into a rage. Sources say that Gibson had quit smoking that day and was in a "terrible mood."

It bears mentioning that reports also say how Mel also tried to quit smoking the day of his alleged attack on Grigorieva and their daughter Lucia, January 6.
On February 18 Mel became insanely jealous, accusing Oksana of an affair with her landscaper. According to Oksana, she left in fear for herself and the baby.

After she left, angry Mel began calling and she began recording.

Sources say there was no physical violence February 18 and the only violence between them occurred January 6 - which Gibson's camp disputes, of course.

All of the recordings so far - Oksana personally denies distributing the tapes, but her sister, Natalie Grigorieva, may be the leak - occurred on February 18.

Until this revelation, all we knew was that the tapes originated sometime between January 6 and May, when they nearly signed a $15 million custody deal.

Under that agreement, which Oksana agreed to but ultimately did not sign, she would have had to give Mel unmonitored visitation - and turn over the tapes.

Free Lindsay! Lohan May Be Out Before August

Officials plan to release Lindsay Lohan as soon as possible, according to reports, and every time you turn around, more time is shaved off the star's sentence.

The probation-violating 24-year-old just had two more days credited for time she previously spent in custody, meaning she may be free by the end of the month.

Lindsay was sentenced to Lynwood Correctional Facility July 20 to begin a 90-day stay for failure to comply with probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest.
But Lohan's jail time will be cut by two-thirds for good behavior, and more by overcrowding. The media circus surrounding her may also press authorities.

Lindsay was expected to be released around August 1-2, or under 14 days of her 90-day sentence. Not the worst deal - and she may even beat that now.

There is hope the actress could even be released this weekend, if her attorneys can swing it. No word if they'll be successful, but they're certainly trying.

Despite the fact that nobody has seen divorce papers and family and Hills co-stars are skeptical, Pratt tells People that the plastic pair have drifted apart:

"We love each other but I'm a fame whore and I'll never grow out of it. [Heidi] knows that and doesn't want that. She wants to hike, hang out and be calmer."

Calmer? Isn't she pitching her own show?

Lethal Weapon 5? Mel Gibson Accused of Gun Threat Against Oksana Grigorieva

In what is quickly becoming an uglier feud by the day, Oksana Grigorieva has apparently told Sheriff's deputies Mel Gibson threatened her - with a gun.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department is investigating the actor for alleged domestic battery, assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment.

The investigation is based on the following:

Domestic Violence: Oksana alleges Mel punched her in the face twice, knocking out a tooth and chipping another one. Mel's lawyers deny this.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon: Oksana told deputies Mel threatened her with a handgun at his Malibu home, an allegation based on her word.
Child Endangerment: Oksana claims that on January 6 of this year, Mel allegedly punched her in the face while she was holding their daughter.
There was also that racist, sexist tirade.
As we reported earlier today, Mel's lawyers will likely present evidence to deputies that Oksana made up some of the stories and tried to extort him.

He is expected to allege that she has demanded cash in return for secret, recorded tapes of their explosive arguments, some of which were leaked.

According to TMZ, Mel's lawyers will meet with officials to argue Mel is innocent of any crime against Oksana Grigorieva, and the victim of extortion.

The website also claims Mel's lawyers will present evidence that Oksana lied to Sheriff's deputies by knowingly making numerous false statements.

The Sheriff's Department will present the case to the L.A. County D.A.'s office for felony review ... probably in two weeks.

Jailed! Lindsay Lohan Sentenced to 90 Days For Probation Violation; Star Breaks Down in Tears

Lindsay Lohan's day of reckoning has arrived, and an orange jumpsuit will soon follow - she'll be doing 90 days in jail for violating probation, followed by rehab.

The troubled actress must surrender July 20.

She's beaten the rap before, but from the very beginning today, the star's attempts to evade jail for skipping mandatory alcohol education classes were doomed.

She has now made good on the classes, but that wasn't true in May, when she bailed on her last hearing and ended up free on bail wearing a SCRAM device.

Whether she remained free or not rested with no-nonsense Judge Marsha Revel, who sentenced LiLo after incredulous prosecutor Danette Meyers took it to her.
Court proceedings began with a victory for the troubled star. Revel ruled out the matter of the SCRAM device going off after the MTV Movie Awards June 7.

The hearing was thus exclusively about whether Lindsay Lohan violated probation by not attending enough alcohol ed classes at the time of the last hearing.

Not that she was out of the woods by any means.

The Office Manager at the Right On program testified that the program knew the judge wanted Lindsay to attend class once a week, which she did not.

Co-owner Cheryl Marshall testified that she violated the program by failing to attend the classes and coming up with a variety of excuses throughout.

The program determined in both May and August 2009 that Lindsay's excuses were "endless and disrespectful" and that she was not in compliance.

Prosecutors are clearly not taking this lightly, running down the list of times - nine total - that Lindsay skipped class, often for weeks at a time no less.

Court adjourned until 1:30 PST, but when it resumed, it was clear that the evidence was piling up against Lohan - she violated probation, plain and simple.

There were lots more excuses, but ultimately they didn't fly. Revel laid the smack down on Lohan and sentenced her to almost three months in the can.

Lohan's probation was contingent upon her attending classes and staying clear of trouble following her 2007 DUI conviction. Suffice it to say, it didn't take.

The judge noted that there was a pattern of violations since Lindsay was placed on probation in 2007 following her plea bargain in her DUI case. Ya think?

Lindsay dissolved into tears when the judge imposed the sentence, then broke down as she addressed the court, telling the judge, "I did the best I could."

Paris Hilton was arrested in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium for allegedly smoking marijuana a few hours ago at a World Cup match.

Not as surprising as the Netherlands' 2-1 win over Brazil, but unexpected!

The socialite was taken to the Mount Road Police Station in St. Croix, S.A. just before 8 p.m., Det. Mark Magadlela later confirmed to local news organizations.

It is believed that Hilton was indeed at the police station but has since been released. No further specifics were given as to why the ho-tel heiress was busted.
Paris Hilton's Los Angeles-based lawyer says the 29-year-old has served her probation period, after her 2007 conviction for alcohol-related reckless driving.

Unlike Lindsay Lohan, her probation is complete (as of January 2010), taking a lot of the potential heat off her from this screw-up, whatever it consisted of.

One TMZ source also reports that Paris wasn't smoking dope, but an officer has reportedly said that Paris was caught red-handed in possession of weed.

We mean this with all due respect, but perhaps Kristen Stewart should quit acting. She really doesn't seem to enjoy the spotlight, does she?

Aside from making inappropriate comments (such as comparing the paparazzi to rapists, which she quickly apologized for), the actress comes across as painfully awkward in interviews. It's refreshing, but it's also just strange.

Now, in an interview with British magazine Hello!, Stewart admits that she has serious fear of fame. Especially fame at the level she's achieved.

The Bachelorette Recap: Ali Can't Lego Justin Rego

Ali Fedotowsky continued to narrow the field on The Bachelorette last night, with 11 roses doled out and three dudes sent packing. It was mostly predictable stuff.

Justin Rego, a.k.a. Rated R, was anything but, however. He's getting railroaded a la Vienna Girardi and/or he's just a deceitful pig, depending on who you ask.

Either way, this guy is quickly becoming one of the best Bachelor villains in years. When Rated R draws Vienna comparisons from Ali herself, we're speechless.

According to The Bachelorette spoilers, he's not only there "for the wrong reasons," but was dating two other women, making his tearful BS all the more awesome.

THG breaks down all the action below in its plus-minus index ...

Cue obligatory helicopter ride and bring-them-closer-through-adversity stunt: Ali and Roberto must walk a tightrope, literally, to reach their dinner date. Minus 5.

Not even that cliched cheesiness can dampen the appeal of Roberto Martinez, however. He's hot, speaks like 31 languages and played pro baseball. Gulp. Plus 12.

The video shoot, while supremely lame, provided us with gratuitous Ali bikini, tub, pool and lingerie action, a point that mustn't be overlooked (see gallery). Plus 10
Now for the highlight of the night: Miffed by his lack of alone time with Ali, Rated R hobbles two miles on crutches to her place. Supposedly. We doubt it. Minus 9.

You have to give the producers credit for orchestrating that, though. Him limping up during Ali's talking head and her feigning surprise is worth a Plus 8 in itself.

Plus 13 more for Rated R's sob story about his absentee dad and his pleas for the guys to accept him, even after he blatantly (and happily) d!cked over Hunter.

Speaking of Hunter, his date went nowhere due to his utter lack of game. No rose for you. Minus only 2, because while a waste of time, Ali got the message.

Running out of time, Steve sets up a picnic, but can't open the champagne. Ali wonders why his hand doesn't work; Steve says it's numb. Why, Steve?! Minus 5.

Ali inadvertently outs Justin Rego to Roberto, who narcs on him to the guys, and all hell breaks loose. But they're just pissed they didn't think of it, so Wash.

The singer has announced a benefit concert on June 16 in Nashville. All proceeds from the event will go toward rebuilding her hometown, which has seen 21 deaths over the last couple weeks due to extreme flooding and whose flood damages may exceed $1 billion.

"I'm thrilled to announce that I will be playing a show to help benefit Nashville, my hometown," Ke$ha said. "One hundred percent of the profits from ticket sales will go to help the victims of these devastating floods. Nashville helped shape me as an artist and as a person and my love for this city is beyond words.

"I will continue to do anything I can to help rebuild this city and support the families and animals who have been affected by this tragedy."

Okay, she totally would, but we still don't know if we buy the Life & Style Weekly cover story, which claims she "plans to risk her life again with another surgery."

The magazine quotes Spencer Pratt as saying she wants to increase her breast size from 700 cc's to 800 cc's. We don't know what that means, but sounds icky.

"She wants to do it within the next two months and film it for a new show she and Spencer have been pitching to cable networks E! and Oxygen," an insider says.

Even crazier? Heidi's looking to have the surgery done in Europe, and Spencer insists he's already doing everything he can to keep her away from plastic surgery.
"I try to stop her," Spencer tells Life & Style. "She wants her doctor to come over once a week to plump up her lips. I keep telling her that they're big enough."

So what put her over the edge and allegedly "drove" and "forced" her to seek more surgeries? Spence says it was an off-the-cuff remark by Ryan Seacrest.

"When Heidi entered the studio, Ryan told her that her breasts didn't look that big," Spencer said, saying she misread the host's attempt to downplay things.

"She was taken aback," Spencer says. "She came home in shock."

The incident confirmed the outrageous fear she'd had since her plastic surgery addiction reared its head in November: that her breasts still aren't big enough.

Chelsea Handler Sex Tape: Revealed, Possibly a Joke

Chelsea Handler made a sex tape. That much is clear.

What's unclear is what its purpose was. The Chelsea Lately host's rep, Stephen Huvane, claimed it was all part of a comedy bit. A sexy comedy bit.

Viewing the Chelsea Handler sex tape makes that explanation highly questionable, however, as both Chelsea and her partner are both very naked.

The action is clearly not simulated, either.

The tape, which was made nearly a decade ago after Chelsea moved to Los Angeles starts out with Chelsea turning on the camera in her apartment.
Chelsea, who is on all fours on a bed is naked and at several times during the filming she looks directly at the camera whilst in the midst of the act.

At the end of the “performance” Chelsea’s partner speaks in a clear British accent, asking, “Did we get the (bleep) shot?” You always gotta get that.

Chelsea looks into the camera and smiles at this point. Then the tape immediately cuts back into Chelsea continuing her stand-up routine at home.

Reached for comment by Radar Online, Chelsea’s rep Huvane said: “The tape you have is an old tape that was done for a stand up comedy bit.”

He indicated that Chelsea would address it on her E! show ... but from what we've seen, if it’s a routine, it’s the most X-rated routine of all time.
The unnamed source that leaked the sex tape said the following:

“This is an old tape Chelsea had put together just a couple years after moving out to Hollywood when she was trying to make it as a comedienne.”

“Chelsea gave this demo tape to a bunch of talent agents and managers hoping to book some gigs,” the source continues. “It was taken so long ago and distributed on old VHS tapes, that I’m sure most people just threw them out."

"Her stand-up was so bad and they didn’t realize she would make it big one day. It’s highly possible that many of the recipients of the tape didn’t even watch past the first couple of minutes and missed the sex tape part altogether.”

So either an ultra-long Season Six or a Season Seven. Either way, that's great news for any fans the show actually retained since Lauren Conrad bolted.

For doing nothing at all, the large breasted reality star can always make headlines; whether she's being berated by the morons at PETA, or making gobs of money for standing in a store in Australia.

First, Kim started her week by Tweeting a random photograph of herself - and her giant left boob - holding up a cat. For what purpose? Probably because she knew PETA would react and the incident would paint Kim in a sympathetic light.

After all, she may be useless - but what individual in his/her right mind would ever side with an organization that cares more about attention that about saving animals?
On cue, PETA released a statement about Kim's dastardly actions: "Kim Kardashian isn't the only person who mistakenly thinks that because a mother cat picks up her kittens by the scruff of the neck that a supportive hand under the rump isn't needed."

Fair enough. But is Kim the only person who has starred in a sex tape with Ray J to have done so? **

Meanwhile, Kardashian isn't letting this flap get in the way of her professional life. She's was in Sydney, Australia over the weekend, promoting a new Motorola phone and doing her job as mobile phone ambassador.

Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Continues to Blame MJ

It looks like Michael Jackson's addictive personality and need for instant gratification may become a critical component of Dr. Conrad Murray's legal strategy.

Yesterday we talked about how Dr. Murray's defense will argue that Michael Jackson killed himself by pumping a lethal dose of Propofol into his own body.

This happened, allegedly, when the doc left the room to use the can. Murray says he personally administered only an eighth of the amount in MJ's system.

That's far-fetched if you ask us. But to bolster the story, sources familiar with the defense's strategy say they plan to show it was in character for Michael.

Michael Jackson was a demanding celebrity, lawyers for Conrad Murray will claim, and a man-child who wanted what he wanted when he wanted it, period.
Amazingly, the defense will use Coke to prove its point.

Not Coke as in cocaine, but plain ol' Coca-Cola. Michael Jackson apparently consumed massive quantities of the legendary soft drink, despite its caffeine content.

Jackson, an insomniac, knew full well that guzzling the stuff would make it hard to sleep, but he did not care. When the time came to sleep, he turned to drugs.

The defense will provide examples of MJ hyping himself up with caffeine from soda, then using drugs - including Propofol, an anesthesic - to knock himself out.

Basically, this is all meant to establish that he was an individual who demanded instant gratification, making the idea of Jackson waking up, seeing Dr. Murray was out of the room and self-medicating with massive amounts of Propofol believable.

With Mindy McCready, Baseball Mistress, the troubled singer joins the ranks of sex tape purveyors like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Shauna Sand, and so on.

The funny thing about calling it Baseball Mistress - besides that Mindy McCready has a sex tape at all - is that it's a reference to her affair with Roger Clemens.

The steroid fiend and MLB legend is not featured on the tape, of course. Minor detail. Still, McCready donned baseball-themed garb for the cover, so ... yeah
We have to guess that Vivid Entertainment, which has set an April 19 release date for the Mindy McCready sex tape, will be hearing from Rog's lawyer Rusty Hardin.

Then again, he isn't mentioned by name, and who knows, maybe he already gave his consent in exchange for a cut of the profits. Dude's image kind of took a hit.

The video features McCready and a boyfriend named "Peter," and in addition to the feverish body slapping, McCready offers commentary about previous conquests.

Her bedpost notches include Alan Jackson, Dean Cain and, of course, Clemens. No mention of Kari Ann Peniche, whose Eric Dane tape Mindy's accused of stealing.

Judge to Audrina Patridge Stalker: Get a Shrink!

Zachary Loring is not a fellow you would term, say, normal.

A judge pretty much told Audrina Patridge's stalker as much.

Amazingly, you go off on one profanity-laced tirade in open court and you end up a prime candidate for a psychiatric evaluation. Who knew? Well, besides DMX?

That's precisely what happened to the dude harassing Audrina Patridge after a judge-directed verbal lambasting resulted in a suspension of his criminal case.
Zachary Loring, who's been loitering at the home of Audrina multiple times, tried to enter a guilty plea to one count of felony stalking The Hills star. He tried.

His attorney then objected, and after the judge sided with the lawyer and refused to accept the plea, Loring absolutely erupted, tearing the judge a new one.

Always prudent. He also went off on a judge last month too.

Immediately after the flare-up, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William Ryan suspended the hearing, ordered Loring to undergo no less than two evaluations.

He was then returned to police custody, where he is being held on $150,000 bail. A competency hearing is set for April 13. We wouldn't bet on him passing.

Hail Michelle McGee: The Nazi Photo Shoot

Not only is Michelle McGee, Jesse James' mistress, a rumored amateur porn star, tattoo model and stripper, she once posed for photos in Nazi paraphernalia.

Yeah. Real normal.

The woman who allegedly had a sordid tryst with Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James supports "white power" and gave the Nazi salute in a photo shoot taken at her home in the San Diego area, according to court papers revealed Friday.

The photos were mentioned as part of the ugly divorce from and custody battle with ex-husband Ronald Shane Modica, who says she's a bipolar drug user.
In custody documents filed in January, Michelle's ex says she "makes the Nazi salute," and has a swastika tattooed on her stomach (not seen in the pics below).

She also has initials “w” and “p,” which he says stands for white power, on the back of her legs. Wow. No wonder they call her Michelle "Bombshell" McGee.

Taken about a year ago, the Nazi-themed layout, complete with swastika armband and backdrop, was the photographer's idea, but Michelle was enthusiastic.

McGee says she carried on an 11-month affair with Jesse James, who issued a vague apology to Bullock Thursday. Bullock moved out already, reports say.

Big Star Singer and Cult Icon Alex Chilton Dead at 59

Alex Chilton, singer and guitarist of Big Star, one of the most influential rock groups to emerge from the early 1970s, has passed away at the age of 59. Chilton reportedly suffered a heart attack today in New Orleans, just days before Big Star were scheduled to perform at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. Chilton had been complaining about his health earlier in the day, and was eventually taken to a New Orleans hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Big Star drummer Jody Stephens confirmed Chilton’s passing, Memphis’ Commercial Appeal reports. “Alex passed away a couple of hours ago,” Stephens said. “I don’t have a lot of particulars, but they kind of suspect that it was a heart attack.”

Chilton began his musical career in his teens as a member of the Box Tops before returning to his native Memphis to form Big Star with guitarist/co-songwriter Chris Bell, drummer Jody Stephens and bassist Andy Hummel. Blending power pop with the sound of the Beatles and the Beach Boys, Big Star were critically acclaimed but largely ignored commercially. In their short time together in the early-’70s — though Bell exited the band after #1 Record, Hummel after Radio City — Big Star only released three studio albums, but what three incredible albums they were: 1972’s #1 Record, 1974’s Radio City and 1978’s dark but beautiful Third/Sister Lovers all placed on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and their classic tracks “Thirteen” and “September Gurls” both made the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
While they only lasted a few years, Big Star’s impact continues to reverberate decades later. R.E.M. and the Replacements both named Big Star and Alex Chilton as major influences, and the Replacements’ Pleased to Meet Me features a song titled “Alex Chilton.” Chilton became a cult musical icon, and artists as diverse as Beck, Wilco, Elliott Smith, R.E.M., Cheap Trick, Jeff Buckley, Garbage, Bat For Lashes and Whiskeytown have covered Big Star’s songs. Renewed interest in the band’s music led to a reunion of sorts in the early ’90s and a new album in 2005’s In Space, which featured two members of the Posies, Ken Stringfellow and Jon Auer. Just last year, a box set celebrating Big Star’s entire catalog, Keep an Eye on the Sky was released.

“It’s not like I’m a ‘big star’ constantly getting noticed, but I do get recognized,” Chilton told Rolling Stone in 2000 of the fame that eluded Big Star during their first years together. “What’s nice is that the people in my neighborhood just know me as Alex. It’s funny, because I spent so much of my life moving from place to place and I went through a few dark periods, but in the last few years I’ve kind of settled down.” Chilton is survived by his wife Laura and son Timothy.

Miley Cyrus in Parade: Not a Fan of Hannah Montana, Country Music, Celebrity Gossip, Teenage Girls, Etc.

In the new issue of Parade, Miley Cyrus does not hold back.

Yesterday, she talked about how hard the Internet sucks. Today, she talked about ditching Hannah Montana why she feels country music is contrived, and so on.

Her interview isn't all negative, though. Cyrus had praise for Liam Hemsworth, Lady Gaga and God too. Below are excerpts from Parade's sit-down with Miles ...

On Liam Helmsworth: “[Liam has] become my best friend. I love him. He really respects me for who I am because coming from Australia, he really didn’t know me as the celebrity I am here. I got to tell him about myself on my own terms.”

On Lady Gaga: "I really love her. She’s really smart. I used to be like, yeah, I guess she’s talented but how much is she really singing. But I’ve become a convert. She has to be smart to come up with all the stuff she comes up with. She gets it."
On her fan base: “I am screwed up in the mind a little bit because I’m not like other 16- or 17-year-old girls. I have no perspective of who exactly my fans are, to tell you the truth. Teenage girls in general are hard for me. I’m not a girl’s girl."

On country music: “It feels contrived on so many levels. Unless you’re wearing a cowboy hat and boots and singing and whining about your girlfriend or boyfriend leaving you it’s not going to sell. It makes me nervous, the politics of it all."

On the paparazzi: "You have to ask, ‘Why would any other 50-year-old man who was stalking a 17-year-old girl go to jail, but not these guys?’ I mean, they couldn't sit outside of a high school but they can sit outside my recording studio. It's creepy.”

On her faith: "To me, faith is about having a clean slate and a clean start. The one thing I’m really strong about regarding my religious beliefs is that you should know a little bit about everything before you define your own beliefs."

On Twitter: “I believe God is the only one who can judge us. That’s the reason I deleted my Twitter, because I said I believed in gay marriage because everyone should have the right to love each other, and I got hate mail about being a bad person.”

Kim Kardashian Too Famous For Own Reality Show

If Kim Kardashian is known for one thing involving cameras, it's moanin' and groanin' as Ray J worked his magic up in dat thang. But if she's known for a second thing, it's totally E!’s hit reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

A show that may no longer be able to afford her.

Now a household name for whatever reason, Kim's professional celebrity status has thrown a wrench into negotiations for the fifth season of Keeping Up.

Her star power has been a boost for the show, but as Kim Kardashian becomes increasingly popular, she may have options more lucrative than E! can match.

"Kim's advisors feel it may be time to explore bigger deals on bigger networks,” a TV insider with alleged knowledge of the ongoing negotiations says.
“She's right to feel like she doesn't need to open up her life to make a living. It looks like Kim can make a lot more money than the TV show can pay her, especially through her endorsement deals and doing appearances on bigger shows.”

Huh? Really, insider? The only reason she makes a living is by opening up her life ... and legs, for Ray J. But that's neither here nor there at this point.

At this juncture, E!'s options could be limited. The source says that they can dig deep and make Kim an offer she and her representatives can't refuse.

On the flip side, the network re-fashion Keeping Up With The Kardashians to focus on the remaining cast members. Talk about a ticking time bomb!

"Neither path makes much business sense, especially when the Miami spinoff is doing just fine," says the Kim source. "The most likely scenario is shutting down the show altogether and focusing resources on the Miami-Khloe and Kourtney franchise."
